Oasis writer Paolo Hewitt releases Ronnie Lane biopic Can You Show Me A Dream?

Paolo Hewitt and John Hellier are telling the life story of Small Faces/Faces legend Ronnie Lane via those who helped to shape it on their new biography Can You Show Me A Dream?.

“This series originally started with a biography of Steve Marriott which went on to enjoy critical acclaim,” explains Hewitt. “Ronnie Lane had his public face, often accompanied by his epic musical creations, but behind closed doors he was a fascinating and complicated man. Our goal with this book is to tell the uninhibited story, by giving a literary voice to those who impacted every step of his journey.”

“Many items in the book are literally being made public for the very first time. We top this up by also including something extremely special and priceless – a never before heard tape, from 1964, featuring Ronnie with his band The Outcasts.”

Hewitt has worked on many British rock stories in the past and documented the meteoric nineties rise of Oasis on Getting High and Forever The People.
