Album updates from Oasis and Ringo Starr brought some of Live4ever’s trending music news last week.
Oasis have been added to the list of artists contributing to the HELP(2) compilation album in aid of War Child.
Noel Gallagher led the way on the 1995 original along with Paul McCartney and Paul Weller, and now Oasis are contributing to the follow-up which was released on March 6th with an exclusive 7″ vinyl of Acquiesce recorded live at Wembley Stadium during last year’s huge Live 25 comeback tour.
“The original HELP meant a lot to me and to have the opportunity, given the current news cycle, to help galvanize our music community into doing something as unarguably positive as helping children in war zones seemed like a no brainer,” producer James Ford has said.
Mogwai, Wolf Alice and Four Tet are leading the first wave of artists to be confirmed for Green Man Festival 2026.
They’re joined by the likes of Cat Power, Sparks, The Beta Band, Anna Calvi, Baxter Dury, Cate Le Bon, Dry Cleaning, Shame and Tyler Ballgame with the event set for the Brecon Beacons between August 20th-23rd.
For Mogwai, it will continue their live work behind last year’s The Bad Fire album.
86TVs‘ and The Maccabees collaborator Will White has announced the details of his debut solo album It’s Easy To Let The Thoughts Gain Ground.
Largely self-written and recorded at his own studio in Peckham, London, the album reflects a, ‘lone-wolf perspective’, according to White – one not intentional, ‘but the place I tend to speak from’:
“Grief is definitely a returning theme and always has been for me, I guess that’s unsurprising for someone who lost a parent at a young age.”

Ringo Starr has again teamed up with T Bone Burnett on a new studio record entitled Long Long Road which will be released on April 24th.
“I’m blessed to have T Bone in my life right now and working with me on these records,” the Beatle has reflected.
“After we did the last record, which I love listening to, this one just sort of happened. I like to say sometimes I make the right moves, like you can go left or right at any point, and one of the right moves was hooking up with T Bone for Look Up, and now for this one, which I’m calling Long Long Road, because I’ve been on a long long road.”
Hard-Fi have announced their brand new studio album Sweating Someone Else’s Fever after making their return back in 2022.
It will be the band’s first since 2011’s Killer Sounds, and has been set for release on June 19th. The lead single They Ain’t Your Friends, looking at the state of the modern music industry, is streaming online now.
“At the beginning you could get out there and it was a meritocracy, whereas now it’s basically back to patronage where you have to suck up to the guy who’ll give you some money to write a waltz for his ball.”
Jessie Ware has premiered the official video for Ride, the recent second single to be taken from her new studio record Superbloom.
“James is a friend, and we were recently at our friend Jack Peñate’s performance (who I made ‘Ride’ with) and I asked him, ‘James, do you ride a horse, and would you be up for being a sexy cowboy in the video?’,” Ware has revealed.
“I sent him the song, he loved it, and I’m so grateful that he made this happen. To be honest, I didn’t think I would be as involved in the video but James being the total gentleman and professional he is made it so easy.”
