Noel Gallagher solo album no.3 is sounding ‘mad different’ and ‘adventurous’, according to Reverend & The Makers‘ Jon McClure.
In a post on Twitter yesterday, McClure revealed he had been given a very early advance copy of the record and was hugely impressed with what he heard.
Gallagher has been writing his third solo album on and off since for the past year or so with producer David Holmes, talking of a ‘brand new way of working’ as he started from scratch in the studio. Holmes has also spoken of this fresh approach, telling Gigwise in 2016: “It’s not for me to say what it sounds like, it’s his record – I’m just helping him try to realise a different way of working and stuff.”
You’re going to have to wait and see. He’s a brilliant guitar player and he’s really getting into guitar pedals and stuff. He’s got two great ears.”
Got a sneak preview of the new album from @NoelGallagher in the post yesterday.
