Former Oasis guitarist and songwriter Noel Gallagher will make his first live appearance since the Oasis split last August when he plays two nights at the annual Teenage Cancer Trust event at London’s Royal Albert Hall in March.

While his brother Liam Gallagher has been conducting plenty of interviews, to promote his Pretty Green clothing range among other things , Noel has kept a low profile over the past few months but now  has made some public appearances over the past week, where he stated that there will be no new material played at the two gigs.

Noel is joined at The Teenage Cancer Trust event, which is organised by The Who frontman Roger Daltrey, by Sheffield four-piece the Arctic Monkeys, who will play on Saturday 27th March, with The Who closing the event on the 30th. British comedians Jimmy Carr, Rhod Gilbert and Noel Fielding, who is currently starring in Kasabian’s new video for their single ‘Vlad The Impaler’, will appear on the ‘Comedy Night’ on 23rd March.

Speaking about this year’s gigs, Chris Cotton, the Acting Chief Executive of the Royal Albert Hall said: “We are honoured to have supported Teenage Cancer Trust’s concerts since they started here 10 years ago. Roger has consistently brought an incredible line up of talent to raise funds in support of young people who are affected by cancer. When Teenage Cancer Trust is at the Hall the atmosphere in the auditorium is electric and the house is full night after night. We are also proud of the music and art workshops that we run in collaboration with the charity which offer teenagers the opportunity to work with some of their favourite artists. We look forward to many more years of working with Teenage Cancer Trust to support their fantastic efforts”.

Tickets for the event, which celebrates it’s 10th anniversary this year, will go on sale on February 5th.
