More world tour dates for Coldplay and a brand new single from Big Thief were among our biggest headlines last week.

Coldplay will take their Music Of The Spheres tour into the summer of 2024 with another run of European outdoor gigs.

The latest round of shows is due to open at the Olympic Stadium in Athens on June 8th next year, moving on from there to Bucharest and Budapest before a weekend is spent at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon, France.

July will also enjoy two-night stops in Rome and Dusseldorf, as well as a concert at Olympiastadion in Helsinki, Finland before the run closes out at the end of August in Dublin.

After releasing their The Darkness That You Fear, No Reason and Live Again singles recently, The Chemical Brothers have confirmed their new studio album For That Beautiful Feeling.

Those three singles are a part of the LP’s tracklist, while Live Again now also has a video directed by Dom & Nic.

“We’re really lucky to be still making films together after quite a few years,” they said. “The Chems just keep smashing it with great tracks that demand videos that live up to the music and hopefully add something extra to the whole experience.”

Noel Gallagher has premiered the official video for his latest single Open The Door, See What You Find.

It follows Pretty Boy, Easy Now, Dead To The World and Council Skies, all of which feature on the Oasis man’s recent fourth solo album.

“With shade, there must be light, and the High Flying Birds bathe in sunshine on the swaggering, imperial-era Rolling Stones Love Is A Rich Man,” our Council Skies review reads.

Big Thief have premiered their new single and live favourite Vampire Empire, of which Adrianne Lenker has said:

“For me, it’s about getting out of toxic internal patterns – leaving the empire of energy drains that obscure pure essence, learning about what healthy boundaries are, and finding the power to implement them for the possibility of giving and receiving (both inwardly and outwardly) unbroken and infinite Love.”

Fans will be able to continue enjoying the track live as the band’s North American tour moves on to Kingston, NY tonight, while an appearance at Pitchfork Festival is due on July 22nd.

Beabadoobee has shared a brand new single entitled ‘the way things go’, following on from the alternate version of Glue Song which was released earlier this year featuring American singer-songwriter Clairo.

Meanwhile, and after spending the spring supporting Taylor Swift on the US leg of the Eras world tour, Bea is soon to play her own headline gigs in the States, starting with two nights at Terminal 5 in New York on July 31st and August 1st.

The short tour is due to end at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles August 14th after festival appearances have also been taken in at Lollapalooza, Osheaga and Outside Lands.

Bombay Bicycle Club have shared Diving from their forthcoming new album My Big Day, due on October 20th.

It’s a collaboration with Holly Humberstone; one of the special guests on the record along with Damon Albarn, Jay Som and Nilüfer Yanya.

Jack Steadman produced it at the band’s own studio and The Church in London.
