Bruce Springsteen will release a new album with the E Street Band on October 23rd.

Letter To You was recorded on familiar turf in New Jersey, and is being previewed with its title-track. “I love the emotional nature of Letter To You,” The Boss says.

Well over two years on from their incendiary debut album Songs Of Praise, the band have finally released some new music, Alphabet the first taste of sessions with producer James Ford. “Alphabet is a direct question, to the audience and the performer, on whether any of this will ever be enough to reach satisfaction,” Charlie Steen explains.

The death of Toots And The Maytals leader Toots Hibbert has been announced. He was 77.

The news was given on the group’s social media outlets via a statement which reads: “It is with the heaviest of hearts to announce that Frederick Nathaniel ‘Toots’ Hibbert passed away peacefully tonight, surrounded by his family at the University Hospital of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica.”

U2 have hopped aboard the anniversary reissue bandwagon, and will put out a 20th birthday edition of All That You Can’t Leave Behind on October 30th.

A multiple Grammy winner driven by what at the time was its unavoidable single Beautiful Day, the album’s re-release will give U2 obsessives plenty to indulge in, bonus features including a 32-page hardback book from Anton Corbijn; 39 extra tracks; outtakes from the album sessions; remixes and a live album recorded at Fleet Center, Boston in June 2001.

Dizzee Rascal‘s forthcoming E3 AF record is packed full of collaborations, and we’ve got one of them courtesy of its new single Act Like You Know.

This track features Dizzee’s London neighbours Smoke Boys, special guests on the album along with the likes of Kano and Ocean Wisdom who can all be sampled in full from October 9th. “I’ve spent the last three years losing and finding myself in music and I’ve made something flawless,” he’s said on social media.

Strange Timez, Gorillaz‘s collaboration with Robert Smith and the latest from their Song Machine series, has been revealed.

It’s also been confirmed that the track will open a full collection of Song Machine collaborations which is to be available on multiple formats from October 23rd, the deluxe version boasting more special guests such as Elton John, St. Vincent and Skepta as well as the previous ones we’ve heard from the likes of Slaves and slowthai.
