Neil Young and Crazy Horse will release the new album ‘Americana‘ on June 5th this year, reports Rolling Stone.
The album will be Crazy Horse’s first with Neil Young since 2003’s critically polarising ‘Greendale‘, and is due to comprise 11 ‘classic American folk’ tracks including ‘Tom Dooley‘, ‘She’ll Be Coming Round The Mountain‘ and ‘This Land Is Your Land‘. The full Crazy Horse lineup of Billy Talbot, Ralph Molina and Frank “Poncho” Sampedro features on the record, a first since 1996. The album has been produced by Neil Young, along with John Hanlon and Mark Humphreys.
Neil Young began his association with Crazy Horse in 1969 on his second studio album ‘Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere‘. Crazy Horse released their own self-titled debut album two years later.
