The title-track of Neil Young‘s Peace Trail LP is streaming on Spotify.
The 38th album of Young’s long, varied career is going to be out a little later than planned – now December 9th rather than December 2nd – but this should help the wait for what is admittedly a swift follow-up anyway to EARTH.
The ten new songs on the album were all written and recorded with session musicians Jim Keltner (drums) and Paul Bushnell (bass) at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-la Studios, described in a press release as ‘primarily acoustic’, reflecting ‘an intimate, sparse approach that draws the listening into the heart of the songs in a personal way’.
