Neil Young & Crazy Horse are set to release an album comprised of entirely new material later this year, reports Rolling Stone.

Americana‘ was released back in June, and marked Neil Young’s first collaboration with Crazy Horse since 2003. The album, which consisted of eleven re-worked American folk songs, will now be swiftly followed up sometime this year with another LP, apparently entitled ‘Psychedelic Pill‘.

“That song began in the studio when Neil sat down at the piano and began playing chords,” Crazy Horse’s Frank ‘Poncho’ Sampedro has told Rolling Stone of the title track.

“Ralph was on drums and he started this beat on the snare and wouldn’t stop for nearly an hour. We stood up and played it and realized it was a great song. We just haven’t performed it that great yet, but we’re getting more comfortable every night.”

Neil Young & Crazy Horse are due to resume a tour of US arenas at Cleveland’s Wolstein Center on October 8th.
