Mystery Jets join Field Day 2016 line-up

Mystery Jets

Mystery Jets are the latest edition to this year’s Field Day event in London.

The festival already has the Mercury winning exploits of headliners PJ Harvey and James Blake signed up, while Beach House, Deerhunter, Four Tet, Yeasayer, Soak and Parquet Courts are among those playing Victoria Park between June 11th-12th too.

Mystery Jets returned last month with their new album ‘Curve Of The Earth‘; “Adieu frivolities of annoyingly infectious ‘Hale Bop‘, guilty rave-alongs of ‘Show Me The Light‘ and 80s spandex of ‘Two Doors Down‘,” our review reads.

“Enter a more collected, mature if you will, batch of numbers from a literally long overdue record. The band admitted the recording of the self-produced album took much longer to finish off than they had planned. Spilling such honest beans can only lead to high expectations of near perfection, if not some return to form.”

“For all the big beginnings of the opening track, Blaine Harrison takes to singing about the minutest of things — namely the ends of chromosomes, called telomeres.”
