Morrissey, The National, Queens Of The Stone Age guest on Later…With Jools Holland

Morrissey, The National and Josh Homme and Dean Fertita from Queens Of The Stone Age all performed on a particularity strong edition of Later…With Jools Holland last night.

All three acts have new albums to promote; Morrissey is ready to return on November 17th with his latest solo album Low In High-School, an album which will be put out on his own newly formed label Etienne Records in conjunction with BMG.

“There are not many artists around today that can compare to Morrissey,” Korda Marshall, executive vice President at BMG, said when the news was revealed.

“He is an extraordinary talent. He is prodigious, literate, witty, elegant and above all, courageous. His lyrics, humour and melodies have influenced many generations. The music on this new landmark record will speak for itself and we are delighted to welcome him to BMG.”

The National, meanwhile, have been busy for a bit longer after releasing their Sleep Well Beast LP last month – touring moves back to North America from tomorrow night.

To round things off, Homme and Fertita took proceedings in a classical direction when airing Villains Of Circumstance from the 2017 record Villains.
