Morrissey has revealed he is once again finding it difficult to secure a new home after leaving Harvest Records last year.
The singer signed to Harvest ahead of the release of his 2014 solo album ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business‘, but the relationship soon turned sour and by the end of the year his band could be found on stage sporting ‘Fuck Harvest’ t-shirts.
Speaking to the Spanish newspaper El Pais, Morrissey has said he’s since faced rejection in his search for a new label. “I recently contacted some labels and all have rejected me,” he said.
“Pop music lives in the era of marketing which just leads to people with very low levels of competition, it is much easier to get rid of them once six months of fame have evaporated.”
Morrissey though won’t be using this as an opportunity to go it alone with projects such as Kickstarter, something he described as, ‘a desperate measure’ and, ‘insulting to your audience’.
