Morrissey has compiled the tracklist for an upcoming Ramones collection which will be the first release from the legendary punk band since the passing of Tommy, their final surviving founder member, in July.
Morrissey is ‘thankful to the Ramones’ management for this invitation’, reports fansite True To You, and has also picked the artwork for the compilation (pic). ‘Best Of The Ramones‘ is being released by Sire-Rhino on an as-yet-unconfirmed date.
Meanwhile, the former Smiths singer has just put a fractious couple of weeks behind him by announcing the details of an October/November European tour which will bring him to the O2 Arena in London on November 22nd. This follows an apparently acrimonious split from Harvest Records less than a year after he joined the label in readiness for ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business‘, his tenth solo album.
