“After the chaos that was the Sheffield ‘comeback’ shows it was important to us that we released some new material if we were going to take the project any further,” frontman Joe Carnall says.
“‘Midnight Control’ is an accidental pop song. We just tried to encapsulate where we are now both musically and lyrically. ‘Forming Of A Fate’ is more of a straight up romper stomper – we can’t wait to play it live.”
That Sheffield comeback occurred earlier this year on the 10th anniversary of the band’s debut album and is currently being followed up with a full UK tour which started in Portsmouth last night and continues in Bristol tonight.
