Mick Jagger would ‘love’ to record a new album with The Rolling Stones and has had no thoughts about retirement after over a half a century in the music business.

The Stones returned to the live scene towards the end of 2012 in celebration of their 50th anniversary, releasing a couple of brand new singles in the process. A full length album though hasn’t emerged from the band since 2005 and ‘A Bigger Bang‘ but, speaking to Rolling Stone, Jagger has said he is hoping to readdress that.

“It would be very nice,” he said, adding that he has ‘a lot of new songs’ to work on. “I’ve done really good demos for all of them, which I would love to record,” he continued. “So, let’s hope so.”

The Rolling Stones recently extended their touring plans for this year and will return for yet another visit to North America next month, beginning at Petco Park in San Diego.
