Former R.E.M frontman Michael Stipe and the Pixies have joined the David Bowie tribute concerts which will take place in New York on March 31st and April 1st, raising money for Cancer Research.
The shows will be held at Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall, with the likes of Debbie Harry, The Roots, Mumford & Sons, The Polyphonic Spree and Cat Power among those also confirmed on the bill.
And the musical director and band leader will be Tony Visconti, Bowie’s long-term collaborator who produced the late icon’s final studio album ‘Blackstar‘.
