Michael Kiwanuka has shared a Tom Misch remix of his current single Cold Little Heart.
“There were so many interesting parts from the original and I had a lot of fun working them but finally settled with an idea using only his vocal stem,” Misch says. “In the end I pitched up my own vocal to create a new melody line which I think gives the song a different direction”.
It’s the latest cut from last year’s Love & Hate record, which we praised as a ‘reincarnation which has crafted one of 2016’s best records‘: “On ‘Love & Hate’s apex ‘Father’s Child‘ the simple loops, finger rolled keyboards and gossamer scream to a cry voice are in a magical alignment.”
