Massive Attack have gone straight to the top of the UK Vinyl Singles Chart with The Spoils.
Behind them are some rock veterans of various guises; Oasis‘ Stand By Me climbing back up to #2, The Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones and New Order completing the Top 5.
Dedicated vinyl album and singles charts were launched by the Official Charts Company last year in recognition of the continuing resurgence of the traditional format – the singles chart is compiled from sales of 7″ and 12″ records.
