Madonna was set to start her 40th anniversary celebrations.
Madonna‘s Celebration tour has been put on hold after the legendary popstar was admitted to intensive care with a bacterial infection.
“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several-day stay in the ICU,” a statement announced.
Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.
Touring was planned to begin in Vancouver, BC on July 15th and would’ve continued for most of the year, heading to Europe in the autumn for dates including four UK appearances at the O2 Arena in London.
