“Introducing Half Loon with their debut single ‘Swearword’. Songwriter and frontman Daniel Pickard, originally from Coventry, has previously toured as a solo artist across the UK and Europe. Recorded by Syd Kemp (Neils Children) at Friends studio in Hackney’s Netil House and mastered by James Aparicio (Spritualized), the single sets the band up for an EP that will be coming during the end of the year.”
“New York-based Imaginary People drop their debut video for ‘Fresh On’ which appears on their self-titled debut EP, available now. Imaginary People formed as a collective of individuals coming from differing backgrounds and assembled in late 2012 by core members Dylan Von Wagner, Mark Roth, Justin Repasky and Joe Zdaa.”
“Michael A Grammar journeyed to the East Midlands underground to record ‘Random Vision’ – the second installment in their series of 12” EP releases. ‘Besides suffering from insomnia, finishing degrees and living amongst a building site we’ve spent the majority of our lives in a blacked out basement in Nottingham writing and recording this EP,’ the band say. ‘It’s been a ridiculous year!’.”
“Mt. Royal is a new group, founded November 2012, from Baltimore, Maryland. The band comprises of Katrina Ford (vocals), Ed Harris (bass), Matt Pierce, (keys), Woody Ranere (guitar) and Mike Lowry (drums). The lead track from the band’s debut self-tilted EP is ‘Missing Reward’.”
“Comprised of five tracks, Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas’ ‘Demons’ EP is out via Instant Records. ‘Demons’ is also Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas’ first release on Instant Records, the label of legendary producer, songwriter and record executive Richard Gottehrer.”
“Vancouver’s The Royal Oui have announced they will release their self-titled debut full-length on February 11th, 2014 through File Under: Music in Canada. The duo have shared the new single off ‘True’. Self-produced, ‘The Royal Oui’ LP features eleven tracks.”
“Joe Grimshaw on guitar and vocals, Max Palmier on drums – Southampton’s Dolomite Minor have gone from playing small venues around their hometown to playing some of this summer’s major UK festivals (including Reading, Leeds and T in the Park).”
“Alternative rock band Welcome Pariah supported The Charlatans in Liverpool on November 8th 2013 at St. George’s Hall. The band’s debut single ‘Neither Here Nor There’ has recently been released and 2013 has seen Welcome Pariah secure dates at some of London’s most prestigious club nights, including a headline slot at the NME featured night ‘This Feeling’ where they launched the single. Welcome Pariah are currently finishing off their debut EP ‘Catch The Moment’ which is due for release on November 22nd.”
“Little Racer released the debut 7″ ‘The Town’/’Split For The Coast’ in late 2011, and the three piece from Brooklyn are back with a follow up EP. Taken from the forthcoming EP is ‘Vanessa’.”
“Leeds based duo The Witch Hunt have released the video to the lead track off their new EP ‘Little Book of Hate’. The track is called ‘Army Man’. This EP is the follow up to their second single ‘Crawl’, which was picked as BBC Introducing Tip of the Week by Huw Stephens.”
