Leonard Cohen died after a fall at home, his manager has revealed

Leonard Cohen died in his sleep after a fall at his Los Angeles home, the late musician’s manager has confirmed.

It was on November 11th when the passing of one of the most revered songwriters, lyricists and poets of the 20th century at the age of 82 was announced, a short statement declaring, “It is with profound sorrow we report that legendary poet, songwriter and artist, Leonard Cohen has passed away. We have lost one of music’s most revered and prolific visionaries.”




Now, manager Robert B. Kory has further explained that Cohen had a fall on the night of November 7th, a few days before the news was made public. “Leonard Cohen died during his sleep following a fall in the middle of the night on Nov. 7,” he told the New York Times.

“The death was sudden, unexpected and peaceful.”
