Sept 8th will see Leonard Cohen perform a mammoth 3 hour set at his only planned UK gig of 2012. The 77 year old Canadian veteran will appear at the Hop Farm in Kent.
The show will feature classics such as Hallelujah, I’m Your Man and Suzanne as well as tracks from his new album Old Ideas.
Promoter Vince Power said: “To get the opportunity to bring Leonard Cohen to the UK for his only appearance this year is a fantastic and humbling achievement. He is one of the undisputed forefathers of modern folk music and has honed his craft for nearly half a century.”
The outdoor venue at Paddock Wood also hosts the Hop Farm Music festival in June, headlined by Bob Dylan.
The Guardian reports that tickets go on sale to members of Cohen’s fan club on Thursday, and on general sale on Friday.
