The team behind Liverpool’s Fusion Festival have announced a new one-day event in the city dubbed Fusion Presents.

Kings Of Leon have been confirmed as its first headliner, with Franz Ferdinand, Echo & The Bunnymen, Circa Waves and Sam Fender also signed up for Sefton Park on August 30th. “Liverpool is an iconic city, entrenched in music heritage and we’ve wanted to launch a new event for the last couple of years,” event director Damien Sanders says.

“The biggest challenge has been finding the right artist for the job. We’re over the moon that we were able to secure one of the world’s most successful rock bands to launch Fusion Presents and we cannot wait to see them perform in our new home, Sefton Park.”

It’s a UK festival exclusive for Kings Of Leon, who are in Europe this summer for appearances at Benicassim in July and Lollapalooza Berlin earlier in August.
