It’s been at least ten minutes since a new King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard album, so the band have duly announced the details of their latest studio effort Fishing For Fishies.

Out on April 26th, it started off as their attempt at a blues record according to Stu Mackenzie. “A blues-boogie-shuffle-kinda-thing, but the songs kept fighting it – or maybe it was us fighting them,” he continues.

“Ultimately though we let the songs guide us this time; we let them have their own personalities and forge their own path. Paths of light, paths of darkness. This is a collection of songs that went on wild journeys of transformation.”

The band tour North America in the summer and then have their biggest headline UK show to think about, at the Alexandra Palace in London October 5th, but not before gigs in Nottingham, Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester. Fans can look forward to ‘a new set, new songs and a whole new visual experience’.
