Kill It Kid are now currently the only British band to be signed to Warner imprint Sire Records, reports Music Week.

Sire are said to have signed up Kill It Kid after a meeting in France between the band’s frontman Chris Turpin and A&R veteran Seymour Stein.

“Kill It Kid are honoured to become part of the Sire/Stein story,” Turpin has said. “We are proud to join a roster with a legacy synonomous with the development and growth of great British bands and have been moved by the sincerity and honesty that Warner Music and Sire have displayed.”

“To have a respected music industry legend offer such personal support and belief in our creativity is a little overwhelming. We are excited and determined to leave our mark over the coming years.”

“This moment will be something that we, as musicians, will cherish forever.”

Kill It Kid have previously released two studio albums through One Little Indian, records beautifully complimented by Turpin’s soaring blues vocals. They are now working on a new LP with Arctic Monkeys and Black Keys cohort Mike Crossey.
