Keith Richards has premiered a video for ‘Love Overdue‘ taken from his first solo album in 20 years, ‘Crosseyed Heart’.
“I had a ball making this new record and working with Steve Jordan and Waddy Wachtel again,” Richards has previously said of the album. “There’s nothing like walking into a studio and having absolutely no idea what you’re going to come out with on the other end.”
Working on solo material hasn’t stopped Richards from badgering his Rolling Stones bandmates about a new record however, and it seems pretty much certain now that the group will begin writing together before the end of this year with an eye on a follow-up to 2005’s ‘A Bigger Bang‘.
Ronnie Wood was the latest to give an update on their plans earlier this week after Richards had told The Quietus in September:
“I was at a meeting with the lads three or four days ago where everybody said, ‘Yes! We must go in the studio!’.”
“Where or when I can’t yet say but in the near future. At last I’ve got the boys wanting to get into the studio. They all have to want to do it at the same time.”
