There’ll be a whole weekend of Keith Richards programming on BBC Four in the UK later this month.
After the brilliant Origin Of The Species film, directed by Julien Temple, aired in July, an extended version will be a part of a three-day schedule curated by Richards and with an in-depth interview inter-cutting each segment.
“The programming will be interwoven with a uniquely relaxed, wide-ranging and intimate interview in which Keith shares his legacy, world views, life philosophy and survival strategies with viewers,” Julien Temple says.
“It’s an open invitation for the audience to get to know Keith in-depth over three nights in a way that has never been seen before.”
Selections include films such as Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps, The Man Who Would Be King, archive footage featuring Johnny Cash and Jimi Hendrix, and never-before-seen clips of the Rolling Stones.
