Kate Bush will undertake her first series of UK live dates since the late seventies from next week when a lengthy residency at the Eventim Hammersmith Apollo in London begins.
And, when writing on her official website, she has made a request to those fans who snapped up the total of 80,000 tickets in just 15 minutes.
“We’re all very excited about the upcoming shows and are working very hard in preparation,” Bush writes. “It’s going very well indeed. We have purposefully chosen an intimate theatre setting rather than a large venue or stadium.
“It would mean a great deal to me if you would please refrain from taking photos or filming during the shows. I very much want to have contact with you as an audience, not with iphones, ipads or cameras. I know it’s a lot to ask but it would allow us to all share in the experience together.”
The 22 shows in London start on Tuesday, August 26th and run intermittently until the first day of October.
