Karen O will bring her brand new solo venture to London for two shows in October.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer has her first solo album ‘Crush Songs‘ out on September 8th via Julian Casablancas‘ Cult Records label, and is now set to play two nights at the Bush Hall in London on October 4th and 5th.
‘Crush Songs’ contains songs written by Karen O between 2006 and 2007; a period of emotional turmoil which has informed the cathartic nature of the record – as outlined by her thus:
“When I was 27 I crushed a lot. I wasn’t sure I’d ever fall in love again. These songs were written and recorded in private around this time. They are the soundtrack to what was an ever continuing love crusade. I hope they keep you company on yours.”
