Kaiser Chiefs have announced their seventh studio album Duck, which is ‘undeniably fantastic and undeniably Kaiser Chiefs’ according to frontman Ricky Wilson.

Set for release on July 26th, it’ll be the third since the departure of chief creative force Nick Hodgson and is being previewed by Record Collection. The band worked with producers including Ben H. Allen and Iain Archer, while additional mixing was undertaken by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent “We wanted to do something that had a Kaiser Chiefs DNA but still try and do something different,” says bassist Simon Rix. “It has the right spirit.” Wilson continues:

“It’s more exciting than it’s ever been. Every time there’s a big obstacle, it just gets blown away in the wind like a dandelion. We’re still selling out arenas but under the radar. We can make albums forever.”

Kaiser Chiefs have a date at Elland Road in Leeds coming up on June 8th.
