Jimmy Page set for live shows during 2016

Jimmy Page has promised to head out on the road for some live touring next year during an interview with Classic Rock.

“There will be all sorts of material from different eras,” he said of his plans for the shows. “Right across the board – that’s the way I’m seeing it. But like I said, there will be surprises. It won’t be entirely what people might be expecting.”

This year and last, Page has had his time taken up with the remastering and re-releases of Led Zeppelin‘s back catalogue – and with trying to persuade his one-time frontman Robert Plant to play live with the legendary band again – but is now free to concentrate on his own wishes.

“It was a question of having time,” he continued. “And the only way to have time is to shut down and then do what you want to do. I’ve been doing so much Led Zeppelin stuff over quite a number of years now.”
