Both Jack White and The Gaslight Anthem will be making their first live outings since 2015 when this year’s Governors Ball takes place in New York during the weekend of June 1st-3rd.

A new album is expected from Jack White this year, and he’s due to headline Randall’s Island Park along side Eminem, Travis Scott and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The Gaslight Anthem, meanwhile, are there to perform their ’59 Sound album in full on its tenth anniversary, in the process emerging from the hiatus which has led to frontman Brian Fallon releasing various solo material the next of which will be an album entitled Sleepwalkers.

“We’re all going to do other projects and stay active in some way or another, both in and out of music, but we’d like to step away from the band until we decide what we’d like to do next,” the band said on Facebook back in the summer of 2015.

“We’d like to recharge and take a step back until we have something we feel excited about rather than going right back to making a record just for the sake of making the next record. We all feel this is the best decision we can make and it feels like the right one for us.”
