Interpol guitarist Daniel Kessler has revealed the band are working on new material in a series of updates on Twitter.
All’s been quiet for the band since the release of their self-titled fourth record in 2010, though since then two bass players, including founder member Carlos Dengler, have departed, while frontman Paul Banks has continued a solo career.
However, writing on Interpol’s official Twitter feed, Kessler first told fans that they are, ‘Back in the Brooklyn grind working on the tunes’. On August 13th he then added:
“We had a good rehearsal yesterday. Started working on a new tune. We were all digging it,” before the most recent tweet said: “And wouldn’t ya know it…we started working on another new tune yesterday. August be a breeding ground.”
