Ian Brown has added an Irish tour to the numerous live appearances he’ll make this year after the release of his first post-Stone Roses reunion solo album last year.

Top of the agenda for the Roses frontman are various UK festival headline appearances, and May is now also to bring Irish shows in Limerick, Cork, Galway, Derry, Belfast and Dublin.

That solo album, Ripples, has a ‘crystal clear direction and a consistency that never compromises’ according to Live4ever’s review: “Recorded in Liverpool with finishing touches at Abbey Road, Brown took complete control of every aspect, on production, video direction, artwork design, writing, musicianship – in both concrete and abstract terms, there’s a strong voice throughout.”
