Hookworms unveil new album Microshift

After building previous LPs Pearl Mystic and The Hum around their live sound, Hookworms have embraced the studio like never before on new record Microshift.

The Leeds band have made use of loops, synthesizers, drum machines and more, as well as co-writing sessions with artists such as Richard Formby and Christopher Duffin, for the album which has been set for release on February 2nd next year. Lead track Negative Space is streaming below.




According to MJ, the underlying theme has by contrast remained a constant:

“All of our records are to an extent about mental health. Largely this is an album about loss but also about maturing, accepting your flaws and the transience of intimacy.”
