Haim‘s second album: it will be released eventually, honest.
In the planning and recording stages for some time – as a barometer they were promising it would come ‘very soon’ back at Glastonbury 2014 – summer European dates were cancelled so progress could keep creeping along, and subsequently the latest aim is now summer 2017.
“We write everything, we play everything, and we help produce everything,” Danielle said during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “These things take time, and we refuse to put out anything we’re not 100 percent in love with.”
When it does finally arrive, it’ll be the follow-up to 2013’s debut Days Are Gone, itself a slightly delayed affair after the band had received a fair degree of industry hype prior to release.
“To get to Days Are Gone, it took us seven years,” Alana added.
“We’re super excited for the next chapter, to just tour our hearts out and really hit the ground running in 2017.”
