They’ve cut it fine, but King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard have now completed their promise of releasing five studio albums during 2017.
Gumboot Soup, the final installment, follows in the wake of Flying Microtonal Banana, Murder Of The Universe, Sketches Of Brunswick East and Polygondwanaland. “We don’t expect everyone to like everything that we release, but I hope people can view these five records as one body of work,” Stu says of all this.
“They’ve been made at the same time, by the same people, in the same place, and they all overlap.”
2018 will start with attention on touring as a European run gets underway in Manchester on February 22nd. There’s gigs in Dublin and Glasgow straight after before the band heads off to mainland Europe from the 27th.
