Glastonbury festival will make its return from a year’s break next summer, and it has been revealed today fans will be asked to part with £205 if they want a ticket for the Worthy Farm event in 2013.
That basic cost doesn’t include a booking fee of £5 and a postage rate of £6, and the tickets will go onsale from October 7th 2012 at 9am. An official programme will be thrown in for no charge with the ticket, while children under the age of 12 will be granted free entry.
Glastonbury’s strict registration process which has been in use during recent years will continue; those wishing to purchase tickets will be asked to registere in advance at Glastonburyfestivals.co.uk.
Organiser Michael Eavis has already been discussing his plans for 2013, and told NME last month reformed Manchester band The Stone Roses are figuring highly in his thoughts.
“I’m very keen on The Stone Roses – I always have been,” he has said. “They played at Pilton Party for 300 people in 1995, which the year they cancelled on the main event and Pulp stepped in to replace them. I would like them to come back at some point. Are they a possible headliner for next year? I think it is possible, yeah.”
