After confirming the details of his debut solo album ‘Courting The Squall‘ earlier this month, Elbow frontman Guy Garvey has now released a video for lead track ‘Angela’s Eyes‘ – check it out below.

Garvey first spoke of his plans for a solo record in the summer of 2014, when he told XFM he was looking to ‘invite famous mates to come and play on it’. Those mates have been confirmed as Nathan Sudders of The Whip, Pete Jobson from I Am Kloot, and Ben Christophers and Alex Reeves, who all lent a hand at Bath’s Real World Studios and Salford’s Blueprint Studios.

“We moved fast, drank a lot and had what can only be described as a massive laugh along the way,” Garvey said of the recording process, adding that the tracks do not ‘fit the Elbow template’.

‘Courting The Squall‘ is released on October 30th, after which a short UK tour starts in December.
