Eels announce new studio album ‘The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett’

eelswide2Less than a year on from ‘Wonderful, Glorious‘, Eels have revealed another brand new studio release which will be out on April 21st.

Entitled ‘The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett‘, the 13-track album is described by Everett himself as being, ‘An extraordinarily vivid and intimate document of a personal struggle’. A short trailer has been posted up on YouTube and can be viewed below.

‘Wonderful, Glorious‘ gave Eels the opportunity to work in Everett’s new Los Feliz studio, something which at the time he said helped to reinvigorate the group:

“It was exciting. It filled me with hope for limitless possibilities. And I realised I’d had a similar feeling when I first put the band together for the last two tours. The only rule I had was, ‘Let’s try it’. If anyone in the room had an idea I’d say, ‘Let’s try it’.”

Their UK 2013 ended in September with a show at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
