Tom Smith releases his debut solo album later this year.

Editors frontman Tom Smith has shared his new solo single Leave with There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn’t There In The Light due out on December 6th.

“We went on a bit of a journey with that one,” he’s said.

It’s a bit of a breakup song in some ways. There’s a conflict in this song, but there’s also a resolution. There’s an acceptance that things are going to turn around again. It’s probably the closest this record has to a pop song in some ways – if you can say that.

Smith is currently building up to the album’s release with a UK and Ireland tour which still has sold-out dates to go in Todmorden, Stockton, Bakewell and Threlkeld.
