Death Cab For Cutie have unveiled a second track from their forthcoming EP which is set for release on September 6th.
The Blue EP was announced with Kids In ’99 last month, a track written in memory of the victims of a gas pipeline explosion in the band’s hometown Bellingham, Washington. “The Olympic Pipeline explosion in 1999 was a tragedy that really affected me while we were living in Bellingham,” Ben Gibbard said.
“After all these years I felt it was worthy of its own folk song.”
This next one, To The Ground, comes after tour dates in Chicago, Illinois,; Boulder, Colorado; San Diego, California and Los Angeles, California earlier this month. They start up again in September at Malkin Bowl in Vancouver.
