Death Cab For Cutie have set a new EP for release on September 6th.

The Blue EP is being led by Kids In ’99, a track written in memory of the victims of a gas pipeline explosion in the band’s hometown Bellingham, Washington. “The Olympic Pipeline explosion in 1999 was a tragedy that really affected me while we were living in Bellingham,” Ben Gibbard remembers.

“After all these years I felt it was worthy of its own folk song.”
