David Bowie, Adele receive 2017 Grammy Awards nominations

David Bowie has received posthumous nominations in some specialist categories for next year’s Grammy Awards, but has been overlooked in the main sections.

Album Of The Year will be contested by Adele, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Drake and Sturgill Simpson, while Adele is also leading the race for Record Of The Year thanks to Hello.




David Bowie, meanwhile, is recognised in the Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song categories, though curiously Blackstar has been saved for Best Alternative Music Album.

The 2017 Grammys take place on February 12th.
