The Black KeysDan Auerbach is moving fast with new venture The Arcs and has included the track ‘Fool’s Gold‘ on the maiden Danger Mouse’s 30th Century Records compilation.

“Generally, Fool’s Gold is made of iron or copper pyrites that are often mistaken for gold,” Auerbach has told Rolling Stone. “It has the same thrilling discovery, the same shiny luster and perceived weight as gold, but it isn’t gold and when all is said and done, it has the same value as a hunk of shit. It’s always been so easy to be a fool.”

“We recorded this song at Easy Eye Sound in the summer of 2015. Honored to have it released on Brian’s new imprint.”

The Arcs released their debut album ‘Yours, Dreamily’ earlier this year after Auerbach brought together Soul Records founder Leon Michels, former Amy Winehouse collaborator Nick Movshon, members of the mariachi band Mariachi Flor de Toloache and more.
