Cigarettes After Sex will return on October 25th with their second album Cry.

Out via via Partisan Records, the sound of the record ‘is completely tied to the location’, according to Greg Gonzalez, referring to the band’s stay in Mallorca during the week their debut album was released in 2017, and which informed the early sessions for this follow-up.

“Ultimately, I view this record as a film,” he continues.

“It was shot in this stunning, exotic location, and it stitches all these different characters and scenes together, but in the end is really about romance, beauty & sexuality. It’s a very personal telling of what those things mean to me.”

Lead single is Heavenly, played first in the UK on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show and in the UK on Sirius XMU. It’s inspired by the ‘overwhelming beauty I felt watching an endless sunset on a secluded beach in Latvia one summer night’, Gonzalez adds.
