Carl Barat & The Jackals have made the first bit of their new EP Harder They Come available to those pre-order from PledgeMusic.
The Sister track will later be a part of the EP when it is released on May 26th, the product of recording sessions with producer Olly Burden as the follow on from 2015’s full length debut Let It Reign.
The Jackals play UK festival sets at Liverpool Sound City, Wonderland and Camden Rocks soon, and have spring headline gigs coming up in Newcastle, Glasgow, Bristol, Leeds and Nottingham.
Speaking to NME recently, Barat explained his reasons for sticking with The Jackals despite the continued calm waters being navigated by The Libertines. “There’s a different chemistry and the boys are from a heavier music background so it’s great to let rip a little,” he said.
“We’ve toyed with different directions but we want to keep it organic and free.”
