Carl Barat has confirmed The Libertines are planning ahead for another new album.

Last year’s Anthems For Doomed Youth capped a successful reunion for the band after their second live return in 2014, and despite Pete Doherty at the moment concentrating on a solo album and tour, Barat has told NME the good ship is Albion is looking to find a permanent harbour.

“We’re looking to bed in together,”he said. “We want to get our own place, which is a bit of a long and convoluted project. There’s a lot of planning and maybes which I can’t say too much about, but we’re looking at getting our own factory.”

“If we don’t have something by next year, then my name’s not Donald Clinton.”

Doherty’s solo album Hamburg Demonstrations is out on December 2nd.
