Cabbage have today released their third EP in as many months on The Coral frontman James Skelly‘s Skeleton Key Records label.
“The final piece, we Cabbage, an audio organisation, will deliver in our introduction and evidence based protest EPs,” the band say of Terrorist Synthesizer. “This work and statement we find the most damning. Terrorist Synthesizer was created in our indignant dissent earlier this year when the UK voted to bomb Syria. What made this decision all the worse was then leader of the time (the bloke who wanks over animal farm) called the good people of our nation sympathisers of terror.”
“Nuclear weapons create nuclear music. Injustice creates opposing attacks and this is our contribution to the ever-growing class divide and destabilisation of the earth. We want to break out of the algorithm, and tell ourselves and others, you’re worth it. Because you are worth it.”
“A message of hope comes dearly in the hands of a fragile, misconstrued, confused, socially unjust world. Raise a glass of whatever your poison might be and join us in a life long musical protest. The working mans hands are burnt and lied to. Use them to fight back and celebrate victory.”
Cabbage open for The Coral next month, and have their own gigs booked for February 2017.
