Brandon Flowers has again spoken of budding writing sessions for The Killers.
2015 has seen Flowers release his second solo album ‘The Desired Effect‘ after one half of the Killers opted to take another prolonged break following the successful 2012 return ‘Battle Born‘.
But he’s also been speaking on and off this year about the band’s future plans, and declared them ‘back in motion’ last month. Flowers has now told NME writing sessions have begun for a fifth studio album, which could see the light of day by the end of 2016.
“We’re writing – we’re in the early stages,” he said. “If The Killers want to take a year or two off then there’s no reason for me not to make a solo record but if the fires are burning in the band then there will be a Killers record.”
Flowers wanted change when he began work on more solo material with producer Ariel Rechtshaid, and duly landed another UK number one when ‘The Desired Effect‘ was released in May.
